E/6 Miniature Hereford Ranch was established in 2009, we are committed to raising high-quality miniature Herefords through careful genetic selection, ensuring success in the breed. Our rotational grazing practices promote healthy pastures and robust animals, and our Registered Miniature Hereford beef guarantees exceptional quality for our customers. We are proud members of the MHBA that supports us as breeders.

E/6 Miniature Hereford Beef is grown on our grass pastures then finished with the addition of a consistent ration of locally sourced pellet and textured feed for optimal marbling, or “finished” allowing us to deliver a consistently great eating experience for our customers. We at the Ranch strive to maintain our herd to the standards of the Registered Miniature Hereford Beef program. We are confident that you will find our Miniature Hereford beef to be of the highest quality: tender, flavorful, a portion size that fits today's busy family and your Sunday BBQ's.

Our finishing program is different from a straight grain program. When we finish out our calves we feed free choice hay plus a finishing ration at two percent of their body weight: pelletized peas, whole oats and whole barley as a mix, all sourced right here locally.

That is what puts our beef in the grass raised, grain finished column, and we would rather tell you exactly what our cattle eat than hide behind a label.

Miniature Herefords are a smaller, compact, efficient breed. They eat less than their full sized counterparts, need less acreage, and cost less to house, which is what makes them such a good fit for a small place.

For the people who eat the beef, the size is the point. A smaller animal means a smaller cut: steaks, roasts and a portion size that fits today's busy family and your Sunday BBQ's, without a platter-sized steak nobody finishes.

Let's explore this term regenerative. Regenerative farming practices refer to agricultural and ecological methods that aim to restore the vitality and health of ecosystems, improving soil quality, and an increase in biodiversity. In the United States, these practices can vary significantly by region due to differences in climate, soil types, and local agricultural traditions. For instance, regenerative practices here in the west may focus on crop rotation and cover cropping, and storing up forage to graze as far into the winter months as possible while those in the Southwest may emphasize water conservation techniques and desert reclamation. Overall, these approaches create a common goal of sustainable systems that benefit both the environment, animals and the economy. Essentially Regenerative means bringing life back into the soils, fields and farms providing opportunity to grow the next generation of farmers and ranchers.

With rotational grazing, we prevent pasture overuse, allowing recovery and nutrient retention. This sustainable approach benefits livestock and yields high-quality beef. Mob grazing, Managed Intensive Grazing (MIG), Adaptive Managed Paddocks (AMP) and rotational grazing are innovative practices that enhance the health of cattle, grasses, and soil. These methods promote better cycling, improve pasture quality, and lead to more resilient ecosystems. Cattle benefit from increased forage quality and availability, while grasses thrive through rest periods that allow for regeneration. Miniature Herefords are particularly well-suited for these grazing systems due to the breed's docile nature, efficient foraging habits and adaptability, ultimately benefiting the end consumer with healthier, sustainably-raised beef.

We offer American Hereford Association Registered Miniature Herefords along with offering commercial (non-registered) Herefords and Hereford/Angus cross, most of what we sell are weanling and yearling heifers. As for selling Bulls we typically only offer Registered yearling bulls. We are dedicated to only offer bull genetics that will help your herd and the breed.
